We arrived at the gate past the Visitor booth at 830 and it was still closed. Of course, for those that prefer a "real" hike, both the Four Mile Trail and the Panorama Trail lead from the Valley to this summit.

If you’re visiting the Park with kids, you must spend a day in the Hetch Hetchy area, as there are so many cool things to experience that you won’t get to see in the Yosemite Valley.

Follow the trail which is clearly marked. This is a good point to rest. As you cross to the intersection for Vernon Lake Cabin Trail, there should be a crossing. Be careful since the water can push you. You'll get a bit wet, so be ready for this. The rest of the trail is clear all the way until Lake Laurel West Trail.
